“I love my hair because it’s a reflection of my soul. It’s dense, it’s kinky, it’s soft, it’s textured, it’s difficult, it’s easy and it’s fun. That’s why I love my hair.” -Tracee Ellis Ross
As black women, our hair is so important to us. Much like food or fashion, we have been resilient in learning how to style, shape, lay, and care for our hair. Whether you have a perm, have been natural since you were born, shave it all off, or wear a weave, you have learned to express yourself in your choice of styling. You have developed deep relationships with your stylist, and bond with other black women on the train in their choice of hair styles.
As you have grown and changed, so has your hair, creating a beautiful hair story. The story that tells who you are in different seasons of your life, and we want to to create space where you can hear it!
Join us November 14, 2016 at 6:30 for our second At the Table Panel: A celebration of Black Hair. During this time we will share hair stories, get tips on black hair care from our hair expert Brielle, and swap hair care products that we are no longer using.
